Clairtangency: Psychic Sensitivity to Energies

Apr 07, 2014

You know that unsettled feeling you get when your place is cluttered? That is a manifestation of your clairtangent abilities - a sensitivity to unseen energies of objects and locations.

Clairtangency is also a bit weird when energy literally almost blows you over and knocks you off your feet.  When you are extremely sensitive or when your clairtangence has developed to greater levels, you are, in essence, a human dowsing rod.  You can literally get knocked over by energy in various situations.  Sometimes it is the energy of a spirit making its impression on you, other times it is earth’s natural and supernatural energies.

It happened to me in the caves when I walked into some strong energy, where it is said some ley lines are crossing at the sacred spot. And it has happened to me when powerful entities of the hidden vortex mountain kingdom I work with in conjuration walk past me or during one of their arrivals from time to time.  Others have noted similar sensations with the arrivals of their powerful familiars and entities they work with.

When highly sensitive you are a human dowsing rod sensitive to ley lines and electromagnetic vortices.  You know by the sensations of the energies you are perceiving when you are walking through a vortex area, or other enhanced and supernatural area you can discover with this sixth sense in nature on occasion.

You can try dowsing with your clairtangent senses for mysterious energies in nature and see if you can find any, or go to known sacred spots to experience the energies through your clairtangency. It's a wonderful gift!  Access it by simply being quiet within and paying impressions to impressions your body is picking up from the environment, and pay attention for changes in those impressions.  It might be better to practice at known vortex areas or areas with anomalous energies, in the beginning, as finding vortices and dowsing for anomalous energies with your body is like digging for hidden treasure, you won’t always find it.  But when your clairtangent sensitivities are developed enough, when you walk by or visit an area with anomalous energies, you will always pick up on it, the sensation of the energies, and that is a very useful skill.

Clairtangency is psychic perception of energy from places and things.  Psychometry is a better known word for it, but psychometry is usually seen as interpreting human energy that is stored in an object they used to or currently possess.

From wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychometry_(paranormal)

Psychometry (from Greek: ψυχή, psukhē, "spirit, soul" and μέτρον, metron, "measure"),[2] also known as token-object reading,[3]or psychoscopy,[4] is a form of extra-sensory perception characterized by the claimed ability to make relevant associations from an object of unknown history by making physical contact with that object.[5] Supporters assert that an object may have an energy field that transfers knowledge regarding that object's history.[6]

Joseph Rodes Buchanan coined the word "psychometry" (measuring the soul) in 1842.[14] Buchanan came up with the idea that all things give off an emanation.[15]

The Past is entombed in the Present! The world is its own enduring monument; and that which is true of its physical, is likewise true of its mental career. The discoveries of Psychometry will enable us to explore the history of man, as those of geology enable us to explore the history of the earth. There are mental fossils for psychologists as well as mineral fossils for the geologists; and I believe that hereafter the psychologist and the geologist will go hand in hand — the one portraying the earth, its animals and its vegetation, while the other portrays the human beings who have roamed over its surface in the shadows, and the darkness of primeval barbarism! Aye, the mental telescope is now discovered which may pierce the depths of the past and bring us in full view of the grand and tragic passages of ancient history![16]

Clairtangency is a fun psychic sense to discuss, because it is something that is familiar to a lot of people but something they often may tune into unconsciously or intuitively process the information they receive without recognizing it as a particular sense. Learning to make the most out of your use of this skill is very helpful in the ability to recognize and sense energies, and to be able to tune into information at will.

If you have a natural clairtangent sensitivity, the first step towards developing it is becoming aware of it.  If you don’t know if you have this gift or not but would like to find out, you can practice some exercises for clairtangency and see if you are successful in picking up on the energies from places, things, or spirits.

I have long used clairtangency in my oracle card readings and have taught my friends to do so also.  Those with the clairtangent gift will find they get incredible results using this technique to choose an oracle card for a reading.  I use this for mini-readings only, or up to 5 cards, usually.  I will shuffle and clear the cards as normal, and I allow my fingers to push through each individual card from one side to the other as I hold the deck in both hands.  I “listen” to my finger as it touches each card while pushing them past.  There is always a moment when a card becomes sticky, and my finger just can’t get past it.  At that point I know I have clairtangently tuned into the card that resonates the most with the reading that is being sought.

This is a great way to practice your clairtangency, and reading cards for your self also helps in the long run to develop and strengthen your psychic muscles.  Card readings can also be used as a way to connect with your spirits and guides of your choice, I can write another short article about this soon.

Another way you can practice tapping into, tuning and developing your clairtangent sensitivities is by sitting in nature and enjoying beautiful environments.  Meditate in beautiful and inspiring places and be open to sensing and receiving the energies of those places - earlier I had mentioned visiting vortices and sacred spots, but the beauty of it is there are beautiful energies all around us, in all of nature.  Visiting a waterfalls, you will benefit from the cleansing negative ions, visiting a forest the energies of the trees helps cleanse your own.  Find some local places of beauty and visit once or twice a week, practicing being open, reflective, and sensing for energies during your visits there.  Visiting places of natural beauty is healing, and even more so when you are able to open your clairtangent senses.

kei This is a pretty fascinating read. It brought back memories of three distinct instances in my life...I'm not sure if they relate to clairtangency or not, but I literally couldn't walk into a room because, for lack of a more succinct explanation, it just felt like I had walked into a "wall of chaos" as I had called it back then. *Something* was dense enough that I just couldn't progress further into said rooms (or, in the third instance, I had to physically force myself to "push through" it.) The first instance was a room in a house where someone kept a large number of antique dolls; the second, a room in a museum. The third was, well, a room where people had long abandoned any hope or trust.

Others around me didn't have this problem, and seemed completely oblivious to it as they could walk around just fine. I figured I was just weird, but I wonder if this didn't have something to do with it. Definitely food for thought.

TrinaD What an excellent post! I just was told that my natural gift was psychometry, and so it's great to be able to find a trusted resource on the topic! Thanks smiling

lalaDinky You know, this resonates really well with me! I've had instances where I've fallen over because it felt like I was physically pushed or tripped by something, and I was on completely flat concrete. I also love dowsing with tools; I've been a dowser for 8-10 years or so. I think it might be time for me to give up my tools and try this out. Thanks for all the tips you've given, great for starting out like me!

dmommybird This has been happening to me intensely for a year now! I always feel as if I had electricity running through my arms and neck. When I touch a spirited or spelled vessel the jolt will often knock me back!
